Frank and Karen Beyette purchased Franklin’s Restaurant in Proctor Restaurant about two years ago. Why? Because Frank found himself unemployed when Omya sold its Electrical Division to Central Vermont Public Service. The Beyettes immediately added a new room to the restaurant to raise its seating capacity to 92.

It didn’t take long for Franklin’s popularity to grow. Frank organized special events to draw crowds of people such as a pig roast and a clambake.

He even has a luau in the wintertime where he turns up the heat in the restaurant to get rid of cabin fever.

The new look Franklin’s also handles group parties such as birthdays, anniversaries, Jack and Jill and company Christmas parties.

It would be wise to book early for holiday events. In the wintertime snowmobilers make the stop at Franklin’s for a little rest and relaxation as it’s very close to the trails.

The Beyettes did it right by developing all their own sauces and spices.

Their Friday and Saturday night prime rib dinners have become famous.

Open seven days a week, Franklin’s features chef’s specials and bar drink discounts every day. Frank and Karen also have given back to the Proctor community with donations to the snowmobile club, music club, booster club, youth league, and volunteer fire department.

Franklin’s  has covered its walls with the history of the Marble Industry, which thrived in this little town for years. They also have a great collection of pictures and events from Proctor’s many triumphs on the athletic field.

One of Franklin’s greatest achievements is their pizza. Whether it’s to take out or eat in the homemade pizza is incredible! If you have never had a Franklin’s pizza, then you should If you have one, it won’t be the last one you order! Franklin’s is just a short drive from Rutland and well worth the trip. Whether it’s a slice or rib, come to Franklin’s for food, friends, and fun. Located at 25 North Street, Proctor, Vt. For reservations or orders please call 802-459-3320.
